Will Owen Pursues Another Podium Finish at 24 Hours of Le Mans

Le Mans, France – June 13, 2019 – Will Owen is back in France to compete in his third year of the 24 Hours of Le Mans with United Autosports. Owen will be looking to better his 3rd place result of 2018 with teammates Alex Brundle and Ryan Cullen.

Just as the race is the longest on the schedule, so is the journey to the green flag. The American has already had several track sessions during testing at Le Mans a week before now and will have two qualifying sessions before a final warm-up on race day. Finally, Owen and his teammates will battle against 61 other teams, 20 teams in total in the LMP2 class, for a spot on the podium at the end of the 87th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans that will start at 3:00 p.m. local time (8:00 a.m. CST) on Saturday the 15th of June.

TV coverage can be found on the MotorTrend Network. A live stream of the 24 Hours of Le Mans is available on the Motor Trend app as well as MotorTrend.com. An alternate option for keeping track of the race is RadioLeMans.com, which offers audio coverage for free.

WILL OWEN- DRIVER OF THE NO. 32 UNITED AUTOSPORTS
LIGIER JS P217-GIBSON
“For the third time, I have found myself back at Le Mans. As usual, I’m excited about the race, and this time, I’m feeling a bit more relaxed than the past two years. Being at Le Mans is still very serious business as this is a huge race. It’s an honor to win or find yourself competing at the front. I have so much respect for this event that will always remain, but I still like to be feeling as comfortable as possible. The No. 32 United Autosports machine runs well on the Michelin tires as we saw here last year and I think that if we have a mistake-free race, we will have the pace to beat the majority of the field. The biggest part is being mistake free – so we will see how everything goes!”
